What is Reiki?
Reiki — a Japanese healing modality that was developed by Usui Mikao in 1922, almost miraculously during a meditation at the top of Mount Kurama, where Usui underwent 21 days of severe discipline without eating. The word "Rei" in Japanese means universal, while "Ki" (also known as chi or prana) represents the life force that flows through every living being. By channeling the universal life force energy through my hands, I am able to help you activate the natural healing processes in your body.

About your session

The goal of a Reiki treatment is to create balance in your energy centers, also known as chakras, as well as in the overall energy flow throughout your body. This strengthens your natural self-healing ability and contributes to health and well-being on all levels – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

During a Reiki session, often described as deeply relaxing and meditative, you receive the energy for 30, 60, or 90 minutes. (The session includes additional time for pre/post-discussion.) You lie comfortably on a massage table, preferably dressed in soft, comfortable clothing. Each session begins with a brief discussion where we collectively set an intention – it can be as specific or general as you wish. This helps us focus on the areas where you need healing the most, even though the Reiki method is holistic and based on the understanding that body and mind are interconnected. Energy work is performed over or near the body, where my hands are gently placed on or above the areas in need of Ki.

After each session, we take time for reflection and conversation. You are welcome to ask questions or share your own experiences. Reiki not only aims to alleviate physical and emotional imbalances but also opens the door to a deeper connection with your inner self. Each session is unique and tailored to your needs and intentions.

Reiki For Pets
At Healthy Soul, I take a holistic approach to the health and well-being of every animal. Instead of focusing on diagnoses, symptoms, or problems, I see the unique essence of each animal, regardless of species, and use the healing properties of Reiki energy to create balance and harmony in all aspects – body, mind, and soul.
Important to know:
Reiki is an energy that activates the parasympathetic system, allowing the animal to relax and activate its own inner power for self-healing.
Reiki is a completely safe method that is gentle and non-invasive.
Reiki can be used in combination with conventional veterinary methods or other alternative treatment methods without hindrance.
My method
The use of Reiki energy on animals has become popular in the last 15-20 years. Many practitioners apply similar methods as they do on humans, using hands-on techniques where hands move over the animal's body, focusing energy on different areas. My observation is that sometimes animals do not wish to be touched, especially if they are not feeling well. Some animals, especially those with a traumatic background and those who feel insecure around new people, do not experience the relaxing effect we strive for through physical touch.
My method is very intuitive, where I tailor the session entirely to your animal's needs, enabling animals in all types of environments to benefit from the healing power of Reiki energy.
I harness the power that arises when I set an intention for your animal's healing and then enter a meditative state to direct the healing power of Reiki energy and offer it to your animal. The animal is respectfully invited into this Reiki space. I also ask for permission to create this space for them, and they are free to come and go as they wish. The animal is never held, isolated, or forced to participate in any way. They can choose to accept and enjoy the energy or reject it.
In my experience, animals love to receive Reiki energy. It helps them relax and feel calm and peaceful.

The session
Sessions last for 30 minutes and can be conducted remotely worldwide or in-person in the Stockholm area. I also offer home visits, which are particularly suitable for larger animals, such as horses. Since Reiki energy is not limited by time and space, it can be sent across the globe and be just as effective as in-person sessions. Choose what works best for you and your animal.
Before the session, I will ask you to be present where you can observe your animal but avoid interaction. Ideally, the animal should be in a calm situation without play, etc. After the session, I would love to hear your feedback on what you observed and any changes you might notice.
